Screen patients with signs of heart failure or valvular heart disease for potential mitral regurgitation, incorporating comprehensive history-taking and physical examination techniques to assess risk factors and identify at-risk populations.
Implement evidence-based treatment protocols for managing mitral regurgitation, including pharmacological interventions, lifestyle modifications, and surgical or transcatheter interventions, to optimize patient outcomes and prevent disease progression.
Collaborate with an interprofessional healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, integrating input from specialists and allied health professionals to optimize treatment outcomes and improve patient satisfaction.
