Differentiate between the mechanisms of action of bisacodyl and other laxatives.
Apply evidence-based guidelines in selecting bisacodyl for constipation management in clinical practice.
Select alternative treatment options if bisacodyl is contraindicated or ineffective.
Implement communication among interprofessional team members to improve outcomes and treatment efficacy for patients who might benefit from bisacodyl therapy.
