At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Differentiate between the various causes and forms of vitamin K deficiency, including VKDB and VKCFD, in both adults and newborns.
Assess vitamin K status using appropriate markers, such as PIVKA-II, to diagnose deficiency and its severity.
Implement evidence-based guidelines and protocols for preventing, diagnosing, and treating vitamin K deficiency, ensuring timely administration.
Collaborate with an interprofessional healthcare team to provide comprehensive care for patients with vitamin K deficiency.
