Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
- Describe the pathophysiology of stent thrombosis.
- Summarize the indications for intracoronary stents.
- Review the functioning of drug-eluting stents.
- Review the importance of improving care coordination amongst interprofessional team members to improve outcomes for patients affected by coronary artery disease.
