Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Determine the etiology of large bowel obstruction.
Determine the evaluation of large bowel obstruction.
Develop treatment considerations for cecal volvulus.
Communicate how coordination of the interprofessional team can lead to more rapid diagnosis of cecal volvulus and subsequently decrease associated morbidity and mortality in affected patients.
