Apply a comprehensive understanding of the natural history of benign prostatic hyperplasia to guide long-term treatment strategies and mitigate potential complications.
Identify modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors for benign prostatic hyperplasia, including age, genetics, geographical location, and obesity, to personalize preventive strategies and enhance overall patient outcomes.
Select appropriate treatment modalities, ranging from watchful waiting to surgical interventions, based on a thorough evaluation of patient characteristics and preferences.
Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach in evaluating and managing patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, integrating diverse perspectives for optimal care.
