Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
- Identify different etiologies of acute anemia based on clinical presentation, laboratory findings, and patient history.
- Implement appropriate resuscitation measures following the ABC (Airway, Breathing, Circulation) approach in cases of acute anemia.
- Apply evidence-based guidelines for managing acute anemia, including oxygen therapy, IV fluid resuscitation, and blood transfusions when indicated.
- Collaborate with specialists in hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, and surgery to optimize the care of patients with acute anemia.
