At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Identify the clinical manifestations and risk factors associated with central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia among individuals, particularly women of African descent, presenting with hair loss.
Differentiate central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia from other forms of alopecia through comprehensive history-taking, physical examination, and diagnostic tests to guide appropriate management strategies.
Apply evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions promptly upon diagnosing central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia, considering the individual patient's needs and preferences.
Collaborate within an interprofessional team to improve the quality of life in patients with central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia, considering lifestyle interventions.
